"No Ordinary Day" was founded by Scott Richards. Scott has worked extensively in complex situations and environments, dedicating his life to advocating for those caught in the crossfire of conflict.
Scott represented the families of British citizens arbitrarily detained, who were successfully released in October 2023.
While working with the Presidium Network, Scott assisted in the campaign to release British citizens held by Russian forces in Ukraine and delivered medical aid. He has also been involved in managing international media campaigns and international relations to assist with the release of UK hostages held by the Taliban.
Following the catastrophic attacks on October 7th, 2023, he worked on the evacuation of NGOs from Gaza, including securing their safe passage permission from the region by Hamas. He has also contributed to ceasefire and hostage negotiations on behalf of families.
After a decade of working in arbitrary detention, anti-corruption, rule of law, kidnap and ransom, disappearances, and conflict evacuation internationally—No Ordinary Day embodies a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
